Mobi Art Bike Design 2023/2024

Mobi is a bike sharing program in Vancouver and each fall they have a collaboration with the Eastside Culture Crawl to select artwork to be displayed on their bikes for one year. The finalists are chosen by popular vote online.

I was one of five artists selected in November 2023 to 2024. I was previously selected in 2021/2022.

I created the images specifically for the design by reusing cut paper pattern layers from my 36 Days of Type series (created in 2022). I layered the pieces of cut paper, lit them with studio lights to create shadows and depth, and photographed them.
