Workshop: Creative Paper Cutting Techniques

I’m excited to announce I am bringing back my paper cutting workshops in September! I haven’t taught a paper cutting workshop since early 2020, which was right before the pandemic started.

About the workshop:
In this three and a half hour hands-on workshop I will introduce students to the joys of creating intricate art through paper cutting. Register for the workshop through Eventbrite!

During the class participants will work on small projects incorporating traditional paper cutting techniques with a modern twist, and a focus on abstraction and pattern. The goal is to help students develop knife skills, discuss tools and materials, as well as inspire ideas for how to integrate paper cut elements into their own work.

The cost of the workshop includes materials. A selection of papers, self-healing cutting mats, and extra blades will be provided. Please note: Participants must bring their own xacto or Olfa knives to use.
