The eyes. The flowers. Oh my!

This portrait turned out a bit more yellow than I like because of a bit of tungsten light cross over but I’m very happy with Christopher’s pose and my composition of the shot. The two of us spent an hour working together in the studio, trading off as photographer and model. As always, Christopher is excellent in front of the camera and I really admire his willingness to do (almost) anything.

There is a HUGE difference in working in concentration with one person in front of the camera. I’ve really gotten away from doing portraits in this way over the past year, and I have to change this.

Orange shoes

My newest shoes, and a leaf

If you’re wondering why all the photos I have in the Mooncruise show are of feet, it’s because I was looking for shots that would work well together. As I was going through my holga photos to create a selection of my best images to submit I didn’t feel there was a common theme to bring it together because I tend to shoot fairly randomly with my holga. It was my feet shots (six in all) that stuck out the most as having something in common, so I decided to go with those. The full selection that I sent to Mooncruise can be found here.
