I’ve had @windychien’s new book about knot-making on loan from the library for awhile. I finally bought cord from @dressew to try making one of the necklaces and it turned out great, despite my tired brain (at the time). Knots are challenging. It’s like complicated paper folding but with cord.

I’m hosting a @firstsaturday.ca open studio this Saturday December 7th, noon to 5pm. Come by the studio at 1610 Clark Drive, Unit 201 (rear entrance). This is one of the three new laser cut pieces I recently had fabricated by @shrapnel_laserservices. The size is 20” x 20”, cut from walnut veneer over Baltic birch with bamboo sides. Come see it in person this weekend.

A new piece I’ve been making in the studio this week for a friend. Hand-cut from translucent Yupo paper backed with red Canson mi-teintes. This is the first time I’ve been able to work in the new space since the studio move / Culture Crawl. It felt sooooo gooood.

I made a new custom advent calendar for @bmann from a plain wood piece from @deserres. Boris helped paint the drawers and I painted the house. We used green acrylic paint, and I drew the vine decorations with a fine nib @poscaoficial white paint pen. This week I’ll fill it up with treats in time for the start of advent on December 1st.
